The Barcelona-based company closes a seed financing operation led by Successful SPV and Zone2Boost, the vehicle created by Caixabank, Global Payments, and Ingenico. It has a platform that digitizes and facilitates the daily management of property rentals.
The Barcelona proptech Nester, focused on rental property management, completes a 1.2 million euros investment round, led by Successful SPV and Zone2Boost, the vehicle created by Caixabank, Global Payments, and Ingenico. Business angels such as Albert Armengol (Doctoralia) or Pere Vallés, CEO of Exoticca, have also participated in the round.
With this operation, Nester aims to take a step further and improve its product, as well as continue expanding its rental property management solution nationwide. The startup also plans to enhance the range of functionalities of its platform.
As Ot Vila, partner at Successful Ventures, points out, “the professionally managed rental industry has been growing rapidly in recent years, and the demand for technology capable of addressing this activity is and will be a key element for all companies wishing to offer their services in this field.”
In 2022, Nester managed to handle 100 properties in less than six months and, after its rapid growth, was one of the two companies selected to join the Amazon Web Service (AWS) accelerator. Currently, the company manages 20,000 assets for 250 companies, including the Badi Homes rental platform and the Spain Student Housing student residence operator.
The company’s offering, led by Kàstor del Olmo and Àlex Purull, is an all-in-one software for the comprehensive management and administration of rental properties, allowing clients to automate their daily operations and optimize the management of their real estate portfolio: from contract control, invoices, and settlements to communications with tenants, digital rent collection, and incident management. Nester offers its platform to real estate management professionals (property managers) and operators of rental properties.
