Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) announces the appointment of Benoît de la Boulaye as CIO Europe, effective July 3, 2024.
Based in London and reporting to Pierre Jacquot, Co-CEO of Edmond de Rothschild REIM, Benoît de la Boulaye will contribute to defining REIM’s business strategy and overseeing the implementation of existing and future funds, mandates and partnerships for the real estate investment platform at a pan-European level. He joins the Executive Committee of Edmond de Rothschild REIM. In this role, he will work closely with Head of Products and Business Development Bert-Jan Scheffer, Head of Fund Management Theo Soeters and the heads of local entities in Continental Europe and the UK to support the growth of the business. He will also work closely with the entire Edmond de Rothschild Group to strengthen its position in the private markets sector.
In his role as CIO Europe for Edmond de Rothschild REIM, Benoît will also be a key representative of the company within the wider real estate industry. He will define REIM’s pan-European investment views, with the help of the various local specialists, and will participate in maintaining relationships with key partners to support fundraising. Internally, he will chair the Investment Committee and oversee the flow of investment opportunities in Europe.
Benoît de la Boulaye brings his experience of managing real estate activities within a leading financial institution and has been active in the sector for almost twenty years. In his last roles, Benoît was Global CIO for BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management (BNPP REIM) as well as CEO of BNPP REIM UK. He joined BNPP REIM in 2011, where he held several fund management positions in France, before joining the London office in 2019. Prior to that, Benoît worked for the Boston Consulting Group in Paris, and began his career in the finance and strategy department of Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations. He holds a business degree with a specialization in finance from Paris Dauphine University and a master’s degree in management from ESCP-EAP.
