Qflow and Procore Partner to Simplify On-site Reporting and Help Contractors Improve Sustainability
Qflow, a digital platform in construction sustainability, today announced an integration with Procore Technologies Inc., the leading global provider of construction management software. This integration will help streamline reporting, easing the data capture for contractors on materials and deliveries. By enhancing the accuracy of as-built records,   the integration helps lower the risks of material non-compliance. The availability of sustainability data will also help contractors ensure they are delivering to more stringent sustainability requirements without the extra paperwork.

Currently, contractors and subcontractors manually log data on the materials they’ve used and installed to ensure compliance during the construction process and provide the ‘golden thread’ of information about a final, built asset. This integration helps on-site teams more easily capture their data on materials with a single photograph of the delivery tickets or receipts. This saves time and reduces the risk of data inaccuracies, which are typically associated with more manual reporting methods.

Through a photograph, Qflow can extract information from documents, and clean, standardise, and enrich data with the responsible sourcing and carbon associated with those materials. This information then feeds into Procore via daily logs, centralising data for reporting and compliance throughout project delivery and handover.

Brittany Harris, CEO and co-founder of Qflow, commented on the significance of this milestone: “In a world where data is so pivotal to our use of AI, this integration with Procore is a very exciting milestone for how high quality data can impact the industry’s ability to deliver construction projects on time and on budget.”

Currently, 95.4% of materials being delivered to site are inadequately documented, meaning the value the industry gets from this data is inherently limited. In order to ensure buildings are constructed with the right materials, and achieve their ambitious carbon targets, it’s imperative that better data is captured on these materials on-site. By streamlining data collection, standardisation, and the reporting process, Qflow and Procore help industry trailblazers like Volpatt fully assess their supply chain and identify ways to accelerate their construction delivery.

“While embodied carbon reporting has yet to become a requirement for contractors, we know that it is imminent and Qflow is helping us get ahead of the game,” said Michael Volpatt, Vice President of Marketing and Innovation for Volpatt Construction. “Procore keeps all of our project data organized [which] allows access for owners and other project constituents. Incorporating embodied carbon data into our project dashboards will help make reporting much easier.”

By integrating Qflow’s data capture capabilities with Procore’s suite of delivery tooling, construction teams now have the opportunity to save significant reporting time on-site, and have the confidence to deliver buildings to the highest quality and sustainability standards.
