Rubus enters the German market through the acquisition of bau digital. This transaction marks a significant milestone for both companies, consolidating their market positions and expanding their influence in the European PropTech and construction industries. To secure continued growth and a successful merger Rubus has raised ~2 million Euro in new capital. Rubus, founded by the brothers Guy and Yuval Montuelle, is backed by Kistefos, a Norwegian family office, and Construct Venture, owned 50/50 by OBOS and AF Gruppen. AF Gruppen (General Contractor) and OBOS (Real Estate Developer) are among the leading players in the Nordic region.
Both organizations recognize strong synergies in their offerings and growth potential. The merger will combine bau digital’s expertise in the DACH region with Rubus’ leading position in Scandinavia, creating a powerhouse that is now one of the largest of its kind in Europe. This strengthened market position will allow the combined entity to offer an unparalleled range of digital solutions for real estate developers and general contractors.
The combination of bau digital and Rubus will offer customers a complete platform for the entire customer journey, from home customization, through handovers and inspections, owners handbooks and warranty handling.” says Guy Montuelle, CEO of Rubus.
We are excited to introduce features from the bau digital platform that we believe will add significant value to the Scandinavian market. These include advanced visualizations and a comprehensive global product database, which aim to enhance user experience and streamline workflows. In addition, we know Norway is in the forefront of digitization in general, and we are excited to bring our solutions to the German market.
Guy Montuelle, CEO and co-founder of Rubus, will assume leadership of the combined company, driving forward its vision and strategy across Europe. Henning Lorenzen, the CEO and Co-founder of bau digital, will continue as the manager of the Rubus’ German subsidiary, overseeing operations and ensuring the continued growth of the company in the DACH-region.
Henning Lorenzen, CEO of bau digital GmbH, expressed his enthusiasm
“This is a pivotal moment for both our employees and customers. By joining forces with Rubus, we will leverage an expanded product portfolio and deepen our industry expertise, positioning us for future innovation and sustainable growth.
