Building on the success of its inaugural cohort—featuring five innovative startups – Map Mortar, Bellboy Robotics, Upgreen, Silk Pay, and Reavant—ATechX has announced the next chapter of its accelerator program with a brand-new cohort of five start-ups. ATechX will be collaborating with these start-ups shaping the future of real estate over the next four months.
ATechX, a groundbreaking growth program powered by Aroundtown, in collaboration with noa (formerly A/O) and Fifth Wall, was first launched in 2024 to supercharge the growth of innovative startups, providing access to unparalleled resources, expertise, and strategic partnerships.
As one of Europe’s largest real estate companies, Aroundtown is uniquely positioned to provide deep expertise and the sandboxes required for disruptive startups to test and scale their solutions. Utilising Aroundtown’s vast experience and network, the programme cultivates the next class of PropTechs, offering access to Aroundtown’s extensive real estate portfolio, mentorship from industry leaders, strategic support to scale solutions, and a collaborative environment with like-minded innovators.
“We believe that innovation in the real estate industry works best when theory meets practice. That’s precisely why we create an environment where startups can immediately validate their ideas.”
– Angie Mahtaney, Principal, ATechX
From rental deposits to polymer research – here are the five selected startups:
Whether CO₂ reduction, smart cooling, or pop-up stores: In ATechX’s second cohort, the five new participants in the program bring technological diversity. They all have one goal: to make the real estate industry more efficient, sustainable, and user-friendly.
CQuel (UK) is an implementation platform for commercial retrofits, that turns decarbonization plans into delivered projects with improved costs, less hassle and reduced risk. Leveraging automation and their network of 150+ vetted suppliers, CQuel enables faster, more confident decision making and a seamless journey from assessment to execution.
Garentii (Germany) is revolutionizing the rental process with digital deposit insurance and AI-supported identity verification. This makes renting faster and easier.
Super Polymer (Israel) is a materials science company developing fully crystalline polymers with outstanding mechanical and optical properties – ideal for improving building insulation and heat shielding.
Temperate (UK) has developed a novel passive cooling system that is 20 times more efficient than standard air conditioning with no loss in efficacy – a step-change in sustainable cooling for a warming world.
XNomad (Sweden) is Europe’s leading platform for pop-up retail spaces, enabling brands to create flexible, targeted pop-up experiences while increasing the utilization of space for landlords
The focus is on development and testing under real conditions in Aroundtown’s portfolio. The start-ups test their technologies directly in office, residential and hotel properties. Supported by ATechX’s partners – Fifth Wall, noa and Round Hill Capital – the teams are given access to pilot projects, mentoring and scaling opportunities. The aim is to find technological and market-oriented solutions to specific challenges in the sector.
A sign for the industry:
With the program, Aroundtown – one of Europe’s largest listed real estate groups – wants to demonstrate that change is possible. Fast, scalable, and economically viable. Especially at a time when ESG criteria, cost efficiency, and energy efficiency are becoming increasingly important.
