I’m looking forward to meeting PropTech founders and teams, as well as international and regional investors, and urban innovation leaders who are developing technologies that enhance large-scale master developments — including digital infrastructure, data-driven urban planning, and sustainability solutions. I’m particularly interested in exploring partnerships and investment opportunities that can integrate technology into MIDAR’s upcoming projects and accelerate the digital transformation of new cities in Egypt.
Mahmoud Dakroury is a seasoned investment executive serving as Chief Investment Officer at MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development. In this capacity, he leads MIDAR’s investment strategy, project financing, and capital deployment, with a mission to drive transformational urban growth across Egypt and the MENA region. Dakroury brings more than 25 years of experience in structuring, deploying, and managing investments across multiple sectors. His expertise includes mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, due diligence, roadshows, and project finance. Over his career, he has orchestrated high-value transactions spanning real estate development, infrastructure, energy, healthcare, and education. He has also collaborated with major institutions such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the United Nations on development finance and sustainability projects. Under his leadership at MIDAR, the firm has pursued landmark master developments and strategic partnerships to unlock value in emerging urban zones. His role is central in bridging capital flows, development planning, and sustainable urbanization. Passionate about bridging public and private sector ambitions, he works to shape cities that are commercially viable, socially inclusive, and future-oriented.
