Green Economy Partnership’s Website and LinkedIn:
The Green Economy Partnership (GEP) was launched in 2015 as an initiative in line with the United Arab Emirates national green economy strategy “Green Economy for Sustainable Development”. Initially known as the Dubai Green Economy Partnership, GEP was the first Public-Private Partnership program in the Middle East region that aims to enable and support green trade and investment growth across national, regional and global markets. The founding members include leading government and private organisations and GEP is expanding its member base and global partnerships to create new opportunities for governments, cities, businesses and diverse stakeholders who pursue and work to drive sustainable and green economic growth. GEP is a not for profit and now has now its own legal entity and facilitates transactions on a global level that leverages economies of scales to facilitate the transition to a low carbon economy. GEP has developed blockchain infrastructure that is provided free of cost to the Government where it operates to compile National Inventories, BTR and National Registry in line with its origination and environmental finance capabilities focused on compliance markets (ITMOs, CORSIA, IMO and more).
