Alain is the Chief Technology Officer at Buro Happold, the global Engineering Design and Advisory firm responsible for landmark projects such as the London Millenium dome or the Abhu Dhabi Louvre.. He convenes the Technology Board and steers multiple Digital initiatives, including the AI programme, the technology ecosystem engagement and Digital Delivery. Alain is also the co-founder of Cogital, a Digital Advisory firm working with Ventures and Funds in #proptech and #contech. In this role, Alain sits on VC and Digital advisory boards, including Snaptrude, Automated Architecture, ADDA, Kinship.io, Xinaps.com, and the Building Ventures investment network. He has also advised landmark capital delivery programmes such as HS2 in UK, NEOM in KSA, and PWA in Qatar. His current focus is driving the digital transformation of the AEC ecosystem through Industrialised Construction, AI, Robotics, and Platformisation Models for Space and urban infrastructure and establishing the new Value Chain for Capital Investment. Alain is a recognised speaker on Digital Transformation at industry events with leading institutions such as Stanford CIFE in California, AMCA in Australia, ICE in the UK, and BBRI in Belgium. Alain joined the construction industry in 2008 after a career in Aerospace and Automotive where he drove digital transformation initiatives including the servitisation of the b2b tire value chain. He holds multiple patents digital metering and low-power DSP implementation.
