Andrea is CEO of the CRREM Foundation, where she leads global efforts to align real estate portfolios with science-based decarbonization pathways. CRREM serves as a tool for assessing transition risk and helping real estate investors navigate the path to a 1.5C aligned real estate portfolio. Prior to joining CRREM, Andrea served as Responsible Investment Lead for global listed real estate at PGGM, managing investments on behalf of PFZW, the EUR 250 billion pension fund for Dutch healthcare workers. Her expertise lies in integrating sustainability and governance considerations into investment strategy and valuations, with a focus on double materiality and climate risk. Andrea also served as Chair of PGGM’s ESG Risk Working Group, overseeing risk management policies across asset classes. She brings a strong foundation in impact investing and ESG data, having also previously worked for Triodos IM, a pioneer in impact investing, and GRESB, the global benchmark for ESG performance in real assets. Andrea is particularly interested in the intersections of climate, public health, and real estate, and in how capital allocation can drive system-wide change. Outside of her formal roles, she co-founded Net Impact Amsterdam, a 500+ member network for sustainability professionals to promote community and continuous learning amongst like-minded peers. She is originally from Chicago and currently based in Amsterdam.
