Swiss startup deskbird has secured $23 million in Series B funding, led by Octopus Ventures with participation from Neva SGR (Intesa Sanpaolo), Atlantic Vantage Point, Alstin Capital, session, and PortfoLion. The funding brings total capital raised to $44 million and will fuel expansion across the UK and Europe while advancing the company’s AI-powered platform designed to address inefficiencies in hybrid office management, where studies show 65% of companies waste millions annually due to underutilized office space.

Founded in 2020 by Ivan Cossu, a former Morgan Stanley and BCG consultant, and Jonas Hess, an engineer with BMW and BCG experience, deskbird has grown to support over 10,000 offices and 250,000 users, including major clients such as Samsung, Deloitte, Philips, and Airbus. The company originally started as a coworking space booking platform but pivoted to B2B workplace management during the pandemic when businesses required solutions for hybrid work, shared desks, and flexible offices.

Deskbird’s platform offers a unified interface for booking desks, rooms, parking spaces, and visitor access, powered by AI-driven analytics that forecast space needs and optimize resource allocation in real time. The platform integrates seamlessly with over 200 enterprise applications including Microsoft Teams, Slack, Outlook, and Google Calendar, while maintaining GDPR compliance and ISO certification for enterprise security requirements.

“Every company will eventually realise that their physical workspace is as critical to competitive advantage as their technology stack. This funding accelerates our mission to make that future accessible today,” said Ivan Cossu, CEO of deskbird. Investors emphasized the transformative potential of the platform, with Saranyah Douse, Principal at Octopus Ventures, noting: “deskbird is doing more than just building a product, they’re reshaping how modern workplaces run.”

The new funding will support aggressive expansion across UK and European markets while developing next-generation AI capabilities that convert space usage data into actionable business intelligence. Mario Costantin, CEO of Neva SGR, highlighted the broader market opportunity: “Workplaces are one of the last frontiers of digital transformation. deskbird is redefining them as dynamic, data-driven ecosystems that unlock both cost savings and human potential.” The company aims to become as essential to workplace experience as Salesforce is to CRM by 2027.
