Edmond de Rothschild announced this Monday the addition of three professionals with extensive experience to support the development of its real estate investment management (REIM) capabilities throughout Europe.
The sector experts, DJ Dhananjai and Robbert Zoet, join the Edmond de Rothschild AM office in London as CIO UK of REIM and head of real estate asset distribution, respectively. Fabrice Lefevre-Sory joins the Paris office as head of real estate asset sales.
DJ Dhananjai
DJ Dhananjai, CIO of Edmond de Rothschild REIM UK, based in London and under the orders of John Partridge, president of Edmond de Rothschild REIM UK, will lead the business of Edmond de Rothschild REIM in the UK, which has strategies in the residential sector, including affordable housing and build to rent. DJ will be part of the REIM European management team and will be responsible for serving investors seeking greater exposure to impact residential in the UK, such as affordable housing, “build to rent”, student accommodation, shared housing and housing for the elderly.
DJ has over 25 years of experience in the residential sector, both public and private. He joins Edmond de Rothschild REIM from Royal London Asset Management, where he held the position of head of the residential sector. Previously, he worked for 14 years at CBRE Investment Management, where he managed global portfolios of segregated account clients and, more recently, established a residential platform in the UK with a fund focused on affordable housing, for which he was responsible for capital raising, product development, investment strategy and deployment. Before joining CBRE Investment Management, he was a senior manager at Homes England and a specialist in regeneration and regional economy in the Thames Gateway region.
DJ holds a master’s degree in Urban Economic Development from University College London, a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Economics from the University of London and a master’s degree in Real Estate Investment from Cass Business School. His career began as an architect designing low cost housing and urban communities.
Robbert Zoet
Based in London and under the orders of Marie Jacot, global head of distribution at Edmond de Rothschild AM, Robbert Zoet, head of real estate asset distribution, leads a team of four senior business development professionals dedicated to the strategies and investment capabilities in real estate assets of Edmond de Rothschild. In addition to leading the business development team, Robbert is responsible for direct client coverage and acts as a specialist in real estate products and advisor to the local distribution teams of Edmond de Rothschild AM in all international markets where the group is present.
Robbert has over 30 years of professional experience in public and private markets. Before joining, he accumulated his experience in business development, alternative investments and financial services in the private equity real estate sector (Redevco and Moorfield Group, 11 years in total) and in the public equity markets (Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and Lombard Odier, 20 years in total), working with the world’s leading institutional investors and multidisciplinary and culturally diverse international teams.
Robbert holds a degree in International Trade from the European Business School.
Fabrice Lefevre-Sory
Based in Paris and under the orders of Robbert Zoet, Fabrice Lefevre-Sory, Senior Real Asset Sales, is responsible for the development of Edmond de Rothschild’s real assets business with institutional and wholesale clients in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Monaco, Sweden, French-speaking Switzerland, southern Europe and the Middle East. Before joining EdRAM, Fabrice worked for four years as a senior in business development for alternative and real assets at Natixis Investment Management, covering EMEA and APAC. Before joining EdRAM, Fabrice spent four years as Senior Vice President of alternative and real assets at Natixis Investment Management, covering EMEA and APAC. Previously, he was a general manager focused on the development of real asset products and business at European Equity & Advisory, for five years. Fabrice held positions as international sales director of real estate at Abrdn AM and, later, at UFFI REAM from 2006 to 2012. In addition, he began his career in 2002 as a senior Investment manager in alternative investments, covering EMEA and APAC for CNP assurances.
Fabrice holds a Master’s in Finance from the Pantheon-Sorbonne Assas University and a Global MBA from HEC/LSE/NYU Stern.
