Ian is the Head of Analytics within Knight Frank Research, and oversees a team of data engineers, data scientists and geospatial specialists. The team apply innovative and experimental analysis techniques to understand interconnected facets of the property market, and are regarded in industry as a centre of excellence for thematic and geographical inquiry, analysis and visualisation. Ian has 18 years’ experience applying spatial analysis techniques in planning and development. His team has picked up several industry awards, including the British Property Federation’s Innovation Award and the Society of Property Researchers Annual Prize. Ian is a Chartered Geographer and Chartered Land Surveyor, holding Fellowship of the RICS and sitting on the Chartered Surveyors Livery Company’s Education Committee, the Royal Geographical Society’s Professional Advisory Group, as well as the Society’s Awards and Medals Committee.
