Bio:

Johan leads the Corporate Venture arm at JM, focusing on partnering with and investing in Proptech and Contech startups to support and accelerate innovation across JM’s value chain. JM is one of the leading developers of housing and residential areas in the Nordic region and covers the entire value chain—from land acquisition, design, construction, and property management. JM makes standardized decisions regarding all building components, products, and functionalities to be used in new housing development projects, and has a target to lower the climate impact of new projects by 85% in 2030. An important focus area in the CVC is sustainable technologies, such as innovative materials and energy efficiency. Johan is also responsible for Smart Buildings at JM, defined as IoT-connected products and systems such as mobility, access control, Ilighting, cybersecurity, and connectivity itself. Johan is a contributor to the Proptech ecosystem, being active in several forums and speaking at events. He also serves as a national expert in European Standardization (CEN) technical committees related to Smart Buildings. Prior to joining JM, Johan was an Associate Director and partner at Arkwright Consulting, a strategy consulting firm, supporting clients in industrial segments, real estate development, financial services, and private equity.
