Mark is the UK Head of Net Zero Carbon, Cost Management, and was part of the team that launched Turner & Townsend’s Dual Currencies of Construction proposition along with their industry leading Embodied Carbon Calculator in 2022. Mark is committed to helping drive and deliver the change in the real estate industry to account for the dual currencies of construction, cost and carbon, and is passionate about driving improvements into the design of projects to achieve lower carbon outcomes for clients. Mark is working with private and public sector clients to help them achieve their Net Zero Carbon ambitions using the digital tools developed by Turner & Townsend. The approach of considering carbon as the second currency of construction allows clients to make informed decisions around their investments based on reliable information, using lifecycle cost and carbon analysis to demonstrate the benefits of adopting decarbonisation design measures.
