Max joined Schroders Capital in 2022 to launch new investment vehicles with a global remit. Over a two-decade career spanning multiple geographies, Max has focussed on value add and opportunistic strategies, primarily at the intersection of real estate and infrastructure on behalf of global institutions and sovereign entities. Prior to joining Schroders, Max was a Principal at emerging market private equity specialist Actis where he led the capital raise for the US$750m M&A expansion of the real estate business into Asia Pacific. The transaction established the Firm’s footprint in South Korea, India, Hong Kong & mainland China and included pioneering wholesale data centre investments as early as 2018. He began his career in real estate research at Valad Property Group, a majority owned operating platform of Blackstone Real Estate Partners, where he developed the asset selection model for the firms’ €2.3bn European REIT programme. Max holds a first class honours degree from Nottingham Business School and an Master’s with distinction from Kings’ College London.
