Meter, the enterprise internet infrastructure platform, has acquired WiredScore for its digital connectivity and smart-technology capabilities in real estate.
Anil Varanasi, Co-Founder and CEO of Meter, said, “Digital infrastructure is now as fundamental to a building’s value as its physical construction. WiredScore has spent over a decade defining what great looks like in this space. Bringing their standards, relationships, and global reach together with our infrastructure gives us the platform to scale connectivity in real estate worldwide.”
William Newton, CEO of WiredScore, said, “Meter shares our belief that internet connectivity is fundamental infrastructure. Together, we can continue investing in the standards, research, and global relationships that drive better digital performance across real estate portfolios.”
The acquisition also marks Meter’s expansion into Europe, including a new London office, and gives the company direct access to WiredScore’s landlord and developer network across the UK and globally. Connectivity has quietly become one of the most consequential factors in commercial real estate value.
