Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a vital aspect of professional growth and competency in the property sector. Several key industry organisations mandate CPD for their members:

• Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA): CPD is integral to ARLA membership, requiring members to undertake at least 12 hours of CPD activity annually. This ensures that members stay current and continually evolve their knowledge in a dynamic industry.
• Institution of Commercial and Business Agents (ICBA): ICBA mandates CPD for its members, tailored to personal needs and aimed at improving key professional areas. Members must complete 12 hours of CPD annually, comprising 4 hours of educational events and 8 hours of independent study.
• Institute of Residential Property Managers (IRPM): Since January 1, 2011, IRPM members are required to complete and record at least 15 hours of CPD per year.
• Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS): RICS members must complete a minimum of 20 hours of CPD each calendar year, with at least 10 hours being formal CPD, involving structured learning activities with clear objectives.
• Association of Professional Inventory Providers (APIP): APIP encourages its members to complete at least 12 hours of CPD annually, including 4 hours from relevant educational events and up to 8 hours from independent study.
