Who does Scott look forward to meeting?

Bio:

As Chief Operating Officer, Scott is the well-known face of Homes for Students and is the executive lead across sales, marketing, operations, partnerships, systems, communications, and service for all HFS brands. With a varied background taking in financial services, property services, and hospitality operations, and with a wealth of experience in sales and IT, Scott joined HFS in 2016 when the business was in its infancy. Since then, he has worked in various leadership roles in the business in sales, marketing, and operations, stepping into his current role as COO in 2023 which now extends across into sister companies, Build to Rent (BTR) and Co-living operator, VervLife, and more recently HFS’s new European operating platform, Orla Living. He is passionate about driving positive outcomes through leading and developing high-performing teams, working in a collaborative culture of continuous improvement, and has played a pivotal role in positioning HFS as the market leader it is today with more than 55,000 student beds under management. ARLA qualified, and an expert in the Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and wider real estate sectors, Scott can often be found collaborating and sharing best practice on panels, industry podcasts, or at sector events and is a strong advocate for innovation, standards, and equity. In recent years, Scott has spearheaded the creation of proprietary software and enhancing the inhouse technology capability of the business, driving through technological change and process enhancement at scale after spotting gaps where existing tech was not suitable for the complexity and size of HFS. This has led recently to the creation of HFS’s multi-award winning Resident Experience App, KLIQ, and the business’s internal proprietary staff system and app, Link.
