As part of its development, DEBOS has carried out a capital expansion round worth 1.5 million euros. The operation has been led by professional investors, including the Balearic holding company Grupo Empresas Matutes, the Galician venture capital company Netaccede, and the Swedish fund Polynom Investment AB. Additionally, the Can Bordoy Hotel in Palma has become a close partner to DEBOS after this round.

The Granada-based company, backed by GoHub and accelerated by Minerva, has been advised in this process by Tales Venture and lawyer Pablo Taboada. In the same round, several individual investors close to the founding group consisting of Ignacio de Martín Juan, Manuel Rivero Ibáñez, and Alberto Cruz Amores have also joined the shareholding.

DEBOS is a startup founded in 2021 that provides digitalization services for smart buildings. Based in Granada, with a presence in Madrid and plans for future expansion, the company already has thousands of clients throughout Spain. These clients trust in their operating system and the services they provide regarding technological solutions focused on user interaction with the building or community. DEBOS is committed to digitalization and the promotion of smart buildings, focusing on integrability within a single ecosystem accessible to the user. The goal is to facilitate the daily lives of users and customers who rely on their services, as well as contribute to the reduction of energy consumption and promote sustainable housing development.

A PROPRIETARY OPERATING SYSTEM
DEBOS has created the first smart building operating system for residential and new construction buildings, which has already digitized thousands of homes in just two years. Once digitized, these buildings become intelligent buildings that increase energy efficiency, the security of their occupants, as well as their accessibility and usability, as their facilities and systems allow for comprehensive and automated control.

DEBOS is the first Spanish company to create its own operating system that integrates all connected devices in the building or home into simple modules, allowing them to be controlled through a single app that can be installed on a mobile phone. In this way, DEBOS has revolutionized technology for digitalizing buildings and communities, enabling users to interact with the building in a simple and natural way.

The centralized management offered by DEBOS through a single app also has several additional advantages, such as the ability to access all services remotely and interact with digital elements of homes and buildings from a distance, such as opening the door for a delivery person or reserving a common room in the building. Additionally, the application’s alert system allows users to receive messages from the building administrator, facilitating communication and transparency, or alerts in case of incidents such as leaks or fires, enabling faster and more effective contingency measures.

This solution is suitable for both individuals and community of neighbors and developers who wish to digitize their new construction projects. In this way, they gain in comfort, energy efficiency, and security, while adding additional value to their properties.

“At DEBOS, we are aware of the potential that home digitalization has to improve the quality of life for its occupants, turning their relationship with the building into a simple, natural, and comfortable process. We want to put the user at the center of all our activities and make everything revolve around their needs and lifestyle. This is the raison d’être and DNA of the DEBOS operating system: to focus on creating a single intuitive and easily accessible ecosystem and turning the mobile phone into the gateway for homes worldwide,” commented Ignacio de Martín, CEO of DEBOS.
