Stephen is Head of AI & Technology (Real Estate & Private Markets) at Aberdeen Investments and is responsible for applying AI and technology solutions to enhance investment operations and drive measurable efficiency gains across the organisation. As a Chartered Surveyor with almost 20 years of client-side investment experience, Stephen has carried out Fund and Asset Management roles at Aberdeen, most recently leading a team of 25 Asset Managers across the UK. Stephen also sat as a member of the UK Investment Commitee and currently sits on Aberdeen’s Global Strategic Office Group, playing a pivotal role in shaping office sector strategy post-pandemic. In his new technology role, Stephen champions AI literacy and adoption and acts as Product Owner across the Private Markets tech stack, responsible for system procurement, vendor management and successful deployment of technology solutions. Stephen has a BSc in Land Economics, holds the IMC qualification and is studying towards an MSc at the University of Edinburgh’s school of Data Science, Technology & Innovation. Outside of Aberdeen, Stephen sits as the Chair of the REIMTech (Real Estate Investment Management) industry forum group for 2025, based in London and contributing to the advancement of technology in Real Estate.
