Corporate Vice President – Development, Rotana Hotels Makram El Zyr is a hospitality stalwart who has been instrumental in the rapid geographic expansion of Rotana. Since joining the company’s Food and Beverage department in 2003, he has risen through senior management roles to oversee the growth of a portfolio that now includes 72 operating properties with dozens more in the pipeline. He was a key driver behind the 2022 launch of “Edge by Rotana,” a collection of independent hotels that leverage Rotana’s extensive network while maintaining their unique brand identities.
