Dr. Catalina Ionita is an Architect and Urban Designer with over twelve years of experience leading complex mixed-use, residential, and masterplanning projects across the UK and internationally. Her work focuses on landscape-led placemaking and urban activation, shaping resilient and inclusive places rooted in their local context. In 2024, Dr. Ionita completed a PhD exploring the role of the arts in regeneration, demonstrating how creative spaces act as catalysts for long-term social and economic value. Alongside her professional practice, she teaches Urban Design at the Manchester School of Architecture, training the next generation of designers to create responsive and regenerative cities. She serves as a member of the Salford Design Review Forum and a Design Advisor for the Association of Rental Living.
