Habi has announced the closure of a new USD 40 million financing line with BBVA Spark, aimed at strengthening its operations in Colombia and continuing to drive the transformation of the region’s real estate market. This figure adds to the recently announced USD 60 million in financing in Mexico, bringing the company’s total credit to USD 100 million.
The resources from this financing line will allow Habi to strengthen its presence in Colombia, expand its investment capacity in residential assets, and continue investing in the development of technology that facilitates the purchase and sale of housing on a large scale.
Sebastian Noguera Escallon, President and Co-Founder of Habi, said, “This financing from BBVA Spark confirms the impact we are generating in Colombia. It allows us to accelerate our ability to support millions of Colombian families in the most important financial decision of their lives: buying, selling, or financing their home. We are confident that by providing transparency and making it easier for more people to transact about their homes without friction, we will enable millions of families to access more opportunities, build wealth, and move forward.”
Beyond a financial transaction, this financing reflects a transformation in the Colombian housing market. In a context where a significant portion of families’ wealth is concentrated in illiquid assets, the combination of technology, data, and financial solutions becomes key to revitalising the market and expanding access to housing.
