Proptech firm LandTech has acquired Built-ID – owner of the community engagement platform Give My View.

LandTech said the acquisition would result in faster planning approvals and ‘improved harmony’ between developers and local communities as the company’s clients would now have access to the services produced by Give My View. Built-ID was founded by entrepreneur Savannah de Savary at the age of 23.

Jonny Britton (pictured with de Savary), co-founder of LandTech, said: “Our acquisition of Built-ID strengthens our goal of being the most widely utilised property appraisal and planning resource in the market. Engaging local citizens is an essential weapon in our armoury when it comes to aligning planning applications, local communities and developers.

“Our acquisition will allow Give My View to continue to support councils to put in place strong local plans and policies that are informed by robust democratic input. This provides certainty for developers, which helps make investment decisions easier while enabling more houses to get built.

“In our bid to include community sentiment into LandTech, Built-ID emerged as the best contender in terms of user interface, user experience and client feedback. We noted community respondents provided up to 10 times as much data compared to competitor platforms.”
