Bio:

Ted Maxwell is the Development Lead at the Royal Docks Management Authority Ltd (RoDMA), the non-profit custodian responsible for the largest impounded body of water in the UK. Ted leads the strategic design and delivery of a transformative new vision to activate the 12-hectare water space at Royal Victoria Dock West. His work centers on pioneering floating urban interventions, including London’s first large-scale floating park, outdoor lidos, saunas, and wellness destinations. Prior to joining RoDMA, Ted worked at Oxford City Council through the Public Practice program, managing public realm transformations that championed healthy movement and sustainable economic activity. He also spearheaded the council’s inclusive transport focus groups and initiated its child-friendly cities program through the LSE Cities Urban95 Academy. Ted combines built environment expertise with innovative maritime urbanism to reshape how people experience urban water spaces.
